We've all heard about the boy born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but what about the girl with the silver bell? Yes, she loves her Daddy's hand-me-down silver teething bell so much she now carries it around in her mouth. (There's actually an entire teething ring inside her mouth) Such a funny girl! Still no teeth yet, but we're on the lookout. BTW Teagan had her 9-month check-up last week and weighs in at a whopping 16 pounds. She's now in the 10% percentile for weight, 25% for height. (when she started she was in the 3%) She also amazed her doctor because she has already hit all of her developmental milestones. Way to go bear!

Terrorizing Lewis
One of Teagan's favorite new games (with her Daddy) is chasing Lewis and Clark around, with Will's help. This night she was about to take her bath when they suddenly decided to chase Lewis instead. She also enjoys being naked, so the combination of the two was a treat!

Baby or cat?
Needless to say we are dealing with the cords this weekend. (I love how they are hanging everywhere in this video - NICE). Child services need not apply...
New tricks
I think both of us are suffering from a bit of cabin fever. Thank god she's getting better!
Pengie - our new pet
As I mentioned in the last entry, Teagan came down with a nasty case of RSV. Basically it's a really bad cold that attacks little one's lungs. Along with a nasty cough poor Teagan was wheezing and struggling to breath. That's when we became the proud new owners of Pengie the amazing baby nebulizer - for $200 he could be yours too. These pictures were taken once we got home and she had already warmed up to Pengie. She definitely didn't like him at first.
Great Grandpa - tell me bout the good ole days
Since I have my airline passes back again my mom, Teagan and I decided to get some use out them and take a trip to Minnesota. (Poor Will had to work). Teagan and her great-grandfather, who is 96, finally had a chance to meet. He knows her as Little Violet (his late wife of almost 75 years). It was amazing watching them. It was as if they had some kind of connection. Teagan, who rarely sits still, sat with him just playing with his hands and staring at his sweet face. We also visited with all of my mom's side of the family. She was spoiled thoroughly by all of the Grand Aunts and then.... she got sick! Somewhere along the way she picked up her first cold, which became RSV, requiring a trip to Urgent Care in Minneapolis, a new pet penguin (her nebulizer), and two horrible ear infections upon our early return to Seattle. Despite the drama the trip was worth every minute!

November 4th, 2008 - A Day for the History Books!
My friend Angelica lives in Capitol Hill in Seattle and she joined thousands of celebrating people on the streets in front of her apartment when our 44th president elect was announced. She heard someone telling someone this in the excitement. Beautiful.
Our neighbors were over to watch the election with us last night, thought I would share a few pictures they took....
“Rosa Parks sat so Martin Luther King could walk.
Martin Luther King walked so Barack Obama could run.
Barack Obama is running so our children can fly."

A new America
As my little morning spy began to stir this morning I thought of how grateful I am that she was here to witness such an amazing election last night. I can't help but imagine what she will experience in her lifetime. I myself have never been very involved in the political process - until now. Perhaps it's the coming of age, the once in a lifetime candidate or becoming a mama, but I feel a responsiblity to participate in the molding of our future like never before. Despite who you cast your vote for yesterday we can all agree that the possibilities in this great country are endless. I think the best is yet to come.

VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!!
Armed with a HUGE sign from the headquarters, we hit some of Seattle's busy corners today to remind passers-by to VOTE! What fun! Many smiles, honks and thumbs up (only a few fingers here and there - can you believe they flipped off a baby???) We ran into local Dave Matthews who wanted to know where we got our HUGE sign, loved it and Teagie. But the best was the sweetest woman who got weapy at the sight of little Teagan already participating and stopped to give her this awesome onesie! You can see how much she likes it, and how much fun she had! Oh how I love my little sidekick!
Fingers still crossed :)

Sweet Dreams....
As I tucked in Teagan tonight she grabbed by arm with her little hand, smiled, and I could have sworn she whispered "GO OBAMA"...... sweet dreams little one.

Fluff bottom :)
The best part about this costume was when she was moving around.... This is it for the chicken pictures and movies, I promise!
Trick or Treat
I apologize if you are sick of looking at Charlie the Chicken, but I can't get enough..... Teagan started off her first Halloween by trick or treating at "Aunt" Kathy's house earlier in the day. Surprise Kathy :)
