What do you do all day?

All my non-mommy friends keep asking me what it is I do all day now that I'm not working........... ok, so it's more than this.

It is my labor of LOVE :) Looking so forward spending another year off with this little one.

That look on her face was from a mouth full of cat hair.....

I love her snort at the end!

The Morning Spy

Every morning I wake up with an eerie feeling that someone is staring at me. Well, that's because they are. As many of you know we live in a 1920's craftsman bungalow (meaning cozy little house) so our two bedrooms are right across the hall from each other. If our doors are both open we can see right in to the other's room. Teagan has figured this out, as well as how to sit on her bumper to smash it down out of the way. She coos, laughs and sometimes hollers at us to get up. It's cute, but it could get old :) Here she is this morning - she's pretty tame in this clip but can get pretty rambunctious sometimes.

Charlie the Chicken

It was only Teagan's second day home and she was almost four weeks old. I was already worried about being responsible for teaching her about life and decided the best way to make our baby smart was to read to her. I reached for Charlie the Chicken, a big fluffy musical book that I couldn't imagine could possibly scare her. The first note from that chicken and a glimpse of his big orange legs and beak sent her into an over stimulation tizzy that lasted for three months! Ok, so it wasn't quite that bad, but I realized then that Charlie would have to stay on the shelf until little Teagan could handle him. She was after all a preemie for goodness sakes. Well, fast forward 7 months and not only can she handle him - she IS him!!! Gotta love Halloween!

Teagan's "support group" babies are growing up so fast. We all met when our babies were NEWborns and can't believe how fast the time is going. In the spirit of Halloween we dressed them all up and got them together for the best photo shoot ever! We're hoping to do it once a year until they protest - like when they are 18.......

CRAZY!

Lovely October

Talk about some amazing fall weather! Teagan lucked out this year with gorgeous, sun filled but crisp October days. She's simply eating it all up (literally)! We hung out at the lake yesterday with some of her friends...

Getting down and dirty

ohhhhh pretty leaf!

Hey Julia, these leaves look good enough to eat!

Yeah, this one looks yummy...

Like a big leaf buffet!

Eeeeewwwww! Got a sour one!

Learning to fly

Every day there is a new joy in Teagan's life. Today it was learning to fly in a bucket. The girl loves a swing!

Lunch!

We all worked up an appetite posing in the pumpkin patch but no one was hungrier than little Teagan. She LOVED her avocado lunch so much that she looked drunk in her little chair. She also loved our cowboy neighbors in the next booth. We haven't taught her that staring isn't polite quiet yet :)

Drunk from her avacodo :)

Howdy cowboys!

I LOVE you cowboys!

Pumpkin Hunters

Talk about a perfect day! We took advantage our beautiful fall Seattle weather by taking Teagan to her first pumpkin patch. As far as we could tell she loved it, even when we dumped her in a bin of pumpkins for a photo-op. Our little trooper.

Living History!

This photo gave me chills this morning!

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — A record-breaking 100,000 people cheered Sen. Barack Obama under the Gateway Arch on the Mississippi River, by far the biggest stateside crowd drawn by the Democratic nominee.

The Amazing Jumparoo!

Celebrating my 8-month-birthday :)

She's SCOOTING!!!!

Our lives will never be the same :) Today she not only started army crawling, but she sat on her own too! We were at the neighborhood library for Baby Story Time and she sat there like she had been doing it forever. Then tonight she decided not to again. I think she would rather be moving than bother with her balance. I guess we will have a busy weekend of making our house safe!

Why are your hands up, I don't need a spotter?

Julia, you have a Sophie the Giraffe too?

Almost There!

Ok, so just one more video.....

Daddy's home!

Ok, so you can see that we got a video camera.......I know all these were taken on the same afternoon, but we're making up for lost time :) hehehehe

Messy smiles :)

Kids for Obama

When Teagan asked us to let her march around Green Lake Sunday in the Kids for Obama parade how could we possibly say no. Ok, so she can't talk yet, or march for that matter, but we knew she wanted to participate nonetheless. I think our entire neighborhood was there - even the infamous Bubble Man! Not a bad turnout for her first political event :)

Check out the cute signs

Even KING 5 News was there!

Teagan couldn't keep her hands off my new sticker

The bubble man distracted the marchers half way around the lake
